BCLS activity for the Ophthalmology Society of Nagpur

Indian Society of Anesthesiologists Nagpur City Branch (ISANCB) conducted the BCLS activity for the Ophthalmology Society of Nagpur (OSN) on 3rd July Sunday 2022 from 9.30am to 1.30 pm. as a part of the Anaesthesia awareness program of the ISA National on the Platinum Jubilee year celebrations at Paithankar Hall IMA Nagpur.

At the outset President of OSN  Dr. Neha Deshpande has welcomed all .She thanked the ISANCB for conducting BCLS workshop for the ophthalmology society as the technical emergency management  skills  training  is need of an hour.

Hon. Secretary ISA NCB Dr. Sarita Joglekar spoke about the need of such skilled training and she briefed about the manner in which workshop would be conducted.

After the short inaugural program Dr.Sarita Joglekar presented a PowerPoint presentation of BCLS before the hands on demonstration.

Dr. Anjali Borkar, professor at DMMC Wanadongri and Dr. Sonali Bhagat, Associate Professor, IGGMCH and both Executive Committee Members ISA-NCB along with Dr. Manish Dhoke, ISA NCB member took the demonstrations individually with different scenarios.

Total 40 Ophthalmology practitioners from Nagpur and around and 10 Ophthalmology technicians took part in the workshop.

Ophthalmology   society Nagpur in association with ISANCB has prepared the pre-course study material for them which was great help for the participants.

Video of BCLS and AED were also shown for easy understanding of the scenarios.

Certificates and BCLS Charts were handed over.
