Dr. Malati Phadke Sponsored Intercollegiate Anaesthesiology Quiz: A Competitive and Innovative Event by ISA Nagpur City Branch

On August 18, 2024, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA), Nagpur City Branch, hosted the Dr. Malati Phadke Sponsored Intercollegiate Anaesthesiology Post Graduate Quiz Competition at the J R Shaw Auditorium, IMA Hall, Nagpur. The event began at 2:30 pm, with Dr. Gauri Arora, President of ISA Nagpur City Branch, warmly welcoming the participants and wishing them success in the competition.

The quiz featured seven teams from across Vidarbha, representing GMC Nagpur, IGGMC Nagpur, NKPSIMS Nagpur, AIIMS Nagpur, MGIMS Sewagram, JNMC Sawangi, and GMC Chandrapur. The quiz masters, Dr. Ketaki Ramteke and Dr. Omshubham Asai, both executive members of ISA Nagpur City Branch, conducted the event. The competition was judged by Dr. Bhau Rajurkar, Past President of ISA Nagpur City Branch.

The first prize was awarded to GMC Nagpur, while AIIMS Nagpur secured the second position. The quiz included several innovative rounds, with an AI-based round being introduced for the first time, adding a unique dimension to the competition.

Dr. Sonali Bhagat, Joint Secretary, served as the coordinator, ensuring the event’s smooth execution. Scorekeeping duties were handled by Dr. Tapasya Dhawane and Dr. Kirti Gujarkar, both executive members. The competition was well-attended by ISA Nagpur City Branch members and colleagues of the participating teams, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and learning.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Dilip Wasnik, Honorary Secretary of ISA Nagpur City Branch, acknowledging the efforts of the organizers, participants, and all those who contributed to the success of the competition.
