COLS activity at Indira Gandhi Govt Medical college

On the occasion of World Anaesthesia Day, the Department of Anaesthesia at IGGMC, Nagpur, in collaboration with the Indian Society of Anesthesiologist-Nagpur City Branch, organized a Compression Only Life Support (COLS) training on 16th October 2023 at the Outpatient Department of Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur.

Dr. Radha Munje, the Dean of IGGMCH, Nagpur, emphasized the significance of learning COLS as a life-saving technique. She encouraged the general public to acquire this valuable skill. Dr. Vaishali Shelgaonkar, Professor and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology, along with Dr. Sheetal Dalal, Associate Professor and GC member of SAMS, Dr. Sonali Bhagat, Associate Professor and Joint Secretary of ISA-NCB, and Dr. Leena Ingale, Associate Professor, conducted demonstrations and provided hands-on training to the attendees.

A total of 139 individuals participated in the program, where they received both demonstrations and practical training. The COLS chart of ISA-NCB was presented to Dr. Radha Munje for display in the OPD area, and the Hospital Administration expressed high appreciation for the initiative.
