ISA-NCB Conducts Training of Trainers for Mega Health Project by Zilla Parishad, Nagpur

Under the aegis of Zilla Parishad, Nagpur, the District Integrated Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra, has initiated a Mega Health Project for primary and secondary schools of Zilla Parishad.

With the approval of CEO, Zilla Parishad, Nagpur, Hon. Mr. Vinayak Mahamuni (IAS), and under the leadership of DHO, Zilla Parishad Nagpur, Dr. Rajkumar Gehlot, a Mega Health Camp has been launched across 154 Zilla Parishad schools. The initiative includes:
✅ Sickle Cell Diagnosis & Detection
✅ Blood Group Testing
✅ Basic Health & Hygiene Education
✅ Good & Bad Touch Awareness (Crime Branch Initiative)
✅ CPR Training (ISA-Nagpur City Branch Initiative)

This health camp will be conducted throughout February and March 2025 to benefit thousands of students across the district.

Training of Trainers (ToT) for Community Health & Aayush Medical Officers

As a part of this mega health initiative, ISA-Nagpur City Branch (ISA-NCB) conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) program on 12th February 2025. This session was aimed at Community Health Officers and Aayush Medical Officers working in Primary Health Centres, Community, and Rural Hospitals under Zilla Parishad, Nagpur.

🔹 ISA-NCB President, Dr. Umesh Ramtani, emphasized the importance of training school children and teachers in Compression-Only Life Support (COLS) and highlighted that training trainers would ensure multiple COLS sessions at the grassroots level.

👩‍⚕️ Dr. Leena Gedam – Resuscitation Skills Coordinator, Executive Member, ISA-NCB, and Associate Professor, IGGMC Nagpur, delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation on resuscitation techniques.

🩺 Hands-on Training on Mannequins:
👩‍⚕️ Dr. Roshani Manwani – Executive Member, ISA-NCB, and Associate Professor, DMMC, Nagpur, conducted an interactive training session, addressing queries and providing practical demonstrations.
