Mega COLS Event “O Womania” at Khasdar Krida Mahotsav

As part of the esteemed Khasdar Krida Mahotsav, a Vidarbha-level sports event conceptualized by the Honorable Minister, Shri Nitin Ji Gadkari, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiology, Nagpur City Branch, received a special invitation to demonstrate Compression Only Life Support (COLS) at Yeshwant Stadium, Dhantoli, Nagpur, on the evening of the 21st of January 2024. This unique program, titled “O Womania,” was exclusively organized for women and drew a crowd of approximately 2000 women of all ages.

Dr. Gauri Arora, President of ISA NCB, delivered an enlightening lecture on COLS, emphasizing its importance in emergency situations. Following the lecture, Dr. Dilip Wasnik, Honorary Secretary of ISA NCB, facilitated a demonstration of COLS techniques and provided hands-on training to volunteers.

The initiative received widespread acclaim from both organizers and participants alike, highlighting the value of imparting life-saving skills to the community. ISA NCB’s active involvement in promoting health and safety underscores its commitment to serving society at large.
