Workshop on Segmental Spinal
The Indian Society of Anesthesiologists, Nagpur City Branch, in collaboration with the Department of Anaesthesiology at NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Nagpur, successfully conducted a Segmental Spinal Workshop on Sunday, February 18th, 2024. The event was held at the Main OT Complex and Inspire Hall at NKPSIMS and LMH, Nagpur.
The workshop commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Anjali Bhure, Head of the Department of Anaesthesia at NKPSIMS. Dr. Gauri Arora, President of ISA NCB, also imparted her insights on Segmental Spinal techniques. The inauguration function was graced by the Chief Guest Dr. Madhur Gupta, Head of the Biochemistry Department and Director of MEU, who lauded the meticulous organization of the workshop.
Highlighting the event were the live demonstrations of Segmental Spinal techniques by the esteemed Dr. Naresh Paliwal, Professor of Anaesthesia at DR PDMMC, Amravati, and his team. These sessions were broadcasted live to the attending delegates directly from the operation theatre. Additional faculty members, including Dr. Minal Kokate, Dr. Nandani Deshpande, and Dr. Dipali Gotey from DR PDMMC, Amravati, provided exceptional live demonstrations.
The workshop’s OT coordination was expertly handled by Dr. Sumita Bhargava, Associate Professor at NKPSIMS. The live interactions were moderated by Dr. Gauri Arora, Dr. Tapasya Dhawane, and Dr. Neha Gulkari, executive members of ISA NCB. The roles of workshop coordinators were adeptly filled by Dr. Ajeet Jyotipurkar, Assistant Professor at NKPSIMS, and Dr. Tapasya Dhawane.
Present as the MMC observer was Dr. Gopal Arora. The inaugural program’s Masters of Ceremonies were Dr. Tapasya Dhawane and Dr. Poonam Thorat. The workshop was a resounding success, with approximately 106 delegates in attendance.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Honorary Secretary of ISA NCB, Dr. Dilip Wasnik, expressing gratitude to all participants and contributors for their invaluable involvement.
