Dr. Shabde-Tambe Travel Fellowship Award Competition: Recognizing Excellence in Anaesthesiology
ISA-NCB hosted the prestigious Dr. Shabde Tambe Travel Fellowship Award Competition on November 8, 2024, at the ISA office. Six postgraduate students from GMC and IGGMC Nagpur participated, showcasing their research excellence. Dr. Sheetal Shinde from GMC Nagpur emerged as the winner and will receive a cash prize for presenting at the ISA National Conference.
The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Nagpur City Branch (ISA-NCB), successfully conducted the Dr. Shabde-Tambe Travel Fellowship Award competition for postgraduate students of Anaesthesiology on November 8, 2024. The event was held at the ISA office, 4th Floor, IMA Annex, North Ambazari Road, starting at 5 PM.
The competition saw the participation of six talented postgraduate students from Government Medical College (GMC), Nagpur, and Indira Gandhi Government Medical College (IGGMC), Nagpur. Eligibility for the competition required participants to have an acceptance letter for presenting their work at the National Conference of ISA.
The competition was judged by two esteemed professionals in the field – Dr. Vilas Tambe, an eminent intensivist and senior ISA member, and Dr. Vaishali Shelgaokar, Professor and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology at IGGMC.
After an impressive showcase of knowledge and presentation skills, Dr. Sheetal Shinde from GMC Nagpur emerged as the winner. She will be awarded a cash prize to support her travel expenses for presenting her paper at the Annual Conference of ISA.
The event was meticulously coordinated by Dr. Roshani Manwani, a dedicated member of the ISA-NCB executive team.
