Session on Indemnity insurance by Dr. Sai Janani

Anesthesia is the most risky fraternity. More critical with very less time in hand. So, the risk of procedures is directly dependent on the initial disease of the patient. But sometimes, things go wrong. If a patient has suffered harm as a result of a doctor’s negligence, it’s important that doctors have adequate and appropriate insurance or indemnity to compensate.

ISA NCB has conducted talk on Indemnity insurance by renowned National faculty Dr.  S. Sai Janani, Consultant anesthesiologist and practicing Pain Physician at Fortis Hospital, Faridabad on 16th of February at 6.30 pm on virtual platform under the Anesthesia Social outreach program of National ISA.

At the outset of the Session President Dr. Kiran Vyawaharey welcomed the gathering and the faculty and she insisted on the awareness about indemnity and to have safety in. professional practice

Dr. Neelesh Mathankar, Consultant anesthesiologist Viveka hospital and the executive member ISA NCB introduced the Faculty.

Dr. Sai Janani has explained in details the types of insurance the anesthetist should take and she also briefed the “Cover you” insurance introduced by ISA and also about the IMA insurance. The different precautions one should take while buying indemnity was emphasized by her which was great guide to members.

Program was attended by around 22 participants. Dr. Sai has taken up Questions from the members and various aspects of indemnity were discussed.

Those who joined the Meeting were senior ISA members Dr. Sahay, Dr. Pratibha Deshmukh, Dr. S. K Deshpande, Dr. Ujjawala Mohta and President of Akola ISA Dr. Rahul Pingle.
