ISA Nagpur City Branch Shines at ISACON 2024
The 71st Annual National Conference of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISACON 2024) was held from November 20-24, 2024, at the Samrat Ashok Convention Centre, Patna. The event showcased an extraordinary blend of academics, sports, cultural festivities, and camaraderie.
The ISA Nagpur City Branch (NCB) participated with immense enthusiasm, with over 25 consultants and 10 postgraduate students registering for the conference, CME, and workshops. Members of ISA-NCB played a pivotal role as workshop faculty, session chairpersons, speakers, quiz masters, panelists, debate participants, and even performers in cultural events.
Highlights of Awards and Achievements:
ISA-NCB bagged several prestigious awards at the national level:
- 1st Prize: ISA National Best City (Large) Branch Award
- 1st Prize: ISA National World Anaesthesia Day Celebration Award
- 3rd Prize: ISA National Anaesthesia Public Awareness Award
- 3rd Prize: ISA National COLS (Compression Only Life Support) Award – City

- Dr. Gauri Arora: 1st Prize, ISA National COLS Individual Award
- Dr. Dilip Wasnik: ISA National Diligent Award
- Dr. Kirti Gujarkar:
- ISA National Young Talent Award
- 3rd Prize, Dr. B.B. Mishra Memorial Young Anaesthesiologists National Award
- Dr. Umesh Ramtani: 3rd Prize, ISA ‘OM’ (One Minute) National Award
- 1st Prize: ISA National Duet Singing Competition Award (Dr. Gauri Arora & Dr. Sachin Makade)
Informative videos highlighting the work and awareness initiatives of ISA-NCB were showcased at the conference. Released by Dr. Manoj Kumar, Chief Advisor for ISACON, these videos received accolades from many members, including the ISA National President.
Leadership and Recognition:
The new ISA-NCB President, Dr. Umesh Ramtani, and Hon. Secretary, Dr. Anjali Borkar, participated in the prestigious President-Secretary Meet. Dr. Ramtani was formally honored with the President’s medal by the National ISA President.
ISA-NCB earned widespread recognition for its academic contributions, enthusiasm, team spirit, and unity. The branch extends gratitude to State and National office bearers for their trust and appreciation, as well as to esteemed members like Dr. Chandrashekharan Cham, Dr. Saurabh Barde, Dr. Sheetal Dalal, and Dr. Manisha Shembhekar for their continued guidance and motivation.
