ISA NCB celebrates Annual day and Dr. E. G. Tambe memorial annual oration
Indian Society of Anesthesiologists-Nagpur City branch celebrates Annual Day
ISA NCB celebrated “Annual day and Dr. E. G. Tambe memorial annual oration” on 6th January 2018 at Dr. Dinkar Hardas hall, IMA premises.
Dr. Venkatagiri K. M., Hon. Secretary National headquarter of Indian society of Anesthesiologist was the Chief-Guest of this function. The programme begun with the welcome speech of the ISA –NCB president Dr. Sheetal Dalal followed by samai lighting by the dignitaries. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony for the various competitions held for the members throughout the year.
To appreciate the contributions of the members towards the anaesthesiologists society and to encourage academic participation and research work, many senior members of ISA NCB have initiated awards in various categories.
The awards given were :
Category 1) Best poster presentation– Dr. Krishna Kale award was won by Dr. Deepak Madankar. The second prize winner was Dr. Deepali Mandlik.
Category 2) Best paper presentation competition for the Anesthesiology students –Late Rev. B. N. Sahay memorial award and Dr. Shrirao award was given to Dr. Piyush Dhawad for securing the first position. The second position was shared by Dr. Prashant Tonge and Dr. Apeksha Kachchara who were given the Dr. S. K. Deshpande award.
Category 3) Interesting case presentation competition: Smt. Vaishali Malegaonkar memorial award was won by Dr. Rashmi Shingade and the second prize won by Dr. Jyoti Panhekar.
Category 4) Smt. Sushila Sathe memorial award was won by Dr. Anjali Bhure for being invited as faculty at national and State level and publishing paper in indexed journal.
Category 5) Prestige nursing home award was given to Dr. Rashmi Shingade for being the most active member of the year.
Category 6) Shabde Tambe travelling fellowship was awarded to the post-graduate student who presented paper at ISA national conference, which was won by Dr. Jyoti Bajaj.
Category 7) The prestigious ‘Smt. Kamalabai Deshpande Lifetime achievement award’ was given to Dr. Sushma Pande, Ex-Professor Dept. of Anaesthesiology , IGGMC, for her immense contribution towards the Anaesthesiologists Society. She has been office-bearer of ISA- NCB and an active member in other organizations too.
Category 8) Dr. R.K. Pradhan memorial award was given to Dr. Anuj Jain for securing maximum marks in the post-graduate degree (M. D. anesthesiology) examination.
Category 9) Dr. Lalla L. Cham award was given to Dr. Ramanand Jadhav for securing maximum marks in the post-graduate diploma in anesthesiology examination.
Dr. Umesh Ramtani was given the special appreciation award by ISA NCB for saving a person’s life by performing CPR at the roadside.
An award has newly been introduced by Dr. Anjali Bhure in the name of her mother ‘Smt. Sindhu Ingle award‘ to be given to the member performing maximum number of public awareness programme.
The inaugural function ended with the vote of thanks by the Hon. Secretary Dr. Gauri Arora, followed by the National Anthem. ‘Dr. E.G. Tambe memorial annual oration‘ was held after the inauguration ceremony.
Dr. Venkatagiri K. M. delivered the oration on ‘Anesthesia mishaps‘. The event was attended by large number of ISA NCB members.
