Best Poster and research paper presentation competition and Dr. Shabde Tambe Travelling fellowship interview of ISA NCB

On 17th November 2018, ISA NCB conducted the “Best Research paper presentation” competition for the post-graduate students in Anesthesiology at M.T. Paithankar hall, IMA House.

Dr. Shrirao Award will be presented to winner of Best paper presentation. Rev. B. N. Sahay Memorial award will also be presented to winner of “First Best Paper” and Dr. S. K. Deshpande Award will be presented to winner of “Second best paper”. Judges for the competition were Dr. Anjali Bhure, Prof & Head, Anaesthesiology, NKPSIMS, Dr. V. C. Shelgaonkar, Professor Anaesthesiology, IGGMC & Dr. Amol Singham, Prof & Head, Anaesthesiology, JNMC, Sawangi.

9 PG students from GMC, IGGMC , and NKPSIMS participated in the competition. The 1st best Paper prize was given to Dr. Jubin T. J., JR 3 GMC NAGPUR and 2nd prize to Dr. Samrudhi Wachasundar, JR 3 IGGMC.

Best Poster presentation competition for ISA NCB members was also conducted on the same evening. The 1st two best posters will be awarded by prizes sponsored by Dr. Krishna Kale. The judges for this were Dr. Tirpude , Prof & Head, GMC and Dr. C. S. Cham, President West zone ISA and GC, MSCISA . There were 5 participants in poster competition. The 1st prize was given to Dr. Vrishali Ankalwar, Asso. Prof. GMC and 2nd prize was given to Dr. Anuja Jain, consultant, National Cancer Institute, Nagpur.

The interviews for Dr. Shabde ; Tambe travelling fellowship were also held on the same evening at 4.30 pm at ISA-NCB Office, 4th Floor, IMA Annexe. Those postgraduate students who are presenting papers at National conference 2018 at Agra were considered for the same. The PG students who possess acceptance letter of ISACON 2018 for their research paper were only accepted for travelling fellowship.

Dr. Tirpude, Prof & Head, GMC , Dr. S. P. Manjrekar, prof & Head Anaesthesiology, IGGMC & Dr. Anjali Bhure, Prof & Head, Anaesthesiology, NKPSIMS conducted the interviews. Dr. Sunita Lawange, President, ISA NCB and Dr. Umesh Ramtani, Hon. Secretary ISA NCB were present in this interview.

Dr. V. E. Tambe, senior member and eminent Anaesthesiologist and intensivist of city, who is sponsorer of this fellowship couldn’t be present due to unavoidable reasons. There were 7 participants who appeared for interview . The Travelling fellowship was awarded to Dr. Yasha Tiwari, JR 3, Anaesthesiology, NKPSIMS.

The coordinator and MOC for paper presentation was Dr. Dipak Madankar and coordinator for poster presentation was Dr. Swapna Bhure.

The program started with welcome speech by President Dr. Lawange . She welcomed all judges and wished best of luck to all participants. Around 60 ISA members attended the program . All the participants of poster and paper presentation were given certificates of participation. The results were declared. Awards will be given to all the winners on Annual Day of ISA NCB to be celebrated in January 2019.
