Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training for BAMS Students

December 31, 2025

A Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) training session was conducted on 29 December 2025 for BAMS students as part of ongoing efforts to promote life-saving skills and emergency preparedness among healthcare students.

The training was conducted by Dr. Himanshu Marathe, who provided hands-on instruction in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic emergency response techniques. The session focused on recognizing cardiac arrest, performing effective chest compressions, and responding promptly during medical emergencies.

To ensure effective learning and close supervision, the students were trained in small batches of approximately 20 participants, allowing each student to practice the techniques and receive individual guidance during the practical session.

The activity helped strengthen the clinical preparedness and confidence of BAMS students in managing emergency situations, supporting ISA–NCB’s mission to spread awareness and training in life-saving skills among future healthcare professionals.
